“Why do we need to learn this stuff we won’t need in the real world?”
Algebra provides our children the ability to think with logic. Mathematical reasoning trains their brains to think rationally, analyze errors and to problem solve with order/organization. These are all real world considerations. Algebra teaches students to work through a problem while applying time and thought to get an outcome.
Self efficacy is the outcome of algebra.
